Admiral Lake

Halifax County, Trails

Admiral Lake is a moderate hike with beautiful vistas. For an easier climb, hikers may climb to the first look off. More experienced hikers will enjoy the full loop back to the rail trail. 

Round trip from the parking lot took us 3 hours. 

Directions:

GPS Coordinates for parking: N44o47.29′ W63o08.58′

From Dartmouth, follow Hwy 107 or 7 east to Musquodobit Harbour. Turn north on Hwy 357. After about 440m take your first right on to Park Rd.  After about 87 m turn right into the trailhead parking lot.

Admiral Lake Trailhead:

From the parking lot, travel along the rail trailfor just over 2km. The Admiral Lake Trailhead will be posted on a large park sign. If you do the full loop, you will exit back on to the rail trail further down the trail.
