Blue Beach is a great place to find plant and sea animal fossils! Fossilized footprints may also be discovered at various places along this coast, but you need to know where to look. As you walk down the beach to the left  you will come across a small, picturesque waterfall streaming from the cliff!  If you walk far enough you will arrive at the base of a cliff bearing the Avonport Lighthouse!

There is an outhouse along the path, but it is probably more suitable for photo ops than for actual use.

GPS Coordinates for beach: N45o05.925′  W64o12.852′

Directions:
Blue Blue Beach is located between Hantsport and Avonsport. Follow Bluff Rd from either location until you come to Blue Beach Rd. Head NE on Blue Beach Rd to the small parking lot at the end.
There is a private lane that leads to the Blue Beach Fossil Museum. Walk down the lane to the barn to see the collection of fossils gathered from the beach over the years.
To reach Blue Beach, follow the scenic footpath from the parking lot to the beach. Once at the beach, head left to find fossils by turning over rocks as you walk. Be careful of rocks falling from the cliffs.
