Hemlock Ravine
Hemlock Ravine Park is a wooded walking trail system within Halifax. It features a heart-shaped pond at the entrance known as Julie’s Pond.
History:
In the late 1700’s Prince Edward used this land as his home base until he returned to England in 1800. Julie’s Pond was named after his mistress, Julie St. Laurent.

Hemlock ravine is located just off the Bedford Highway half way between Halifax and Bedford. On the Bedford Highway watch for the Rotunda (an old, white, round building with pillars) on the water side of the road. Directly across from the Rotunda is Kent Ave. which will lead you to the small parking lot for Hemlock Ravine.
